Mero naam Kelsey ho.

TOP TEN:
10. Turns out ordering scrambled eggs is like next to the hardest thing ever to do in certain breakfast places here. Also they call it ketchup but FACT it is not. It is tomato soup that they add vinegar and a pound of sugar to.
9. Did I mention I love chiyaa? I also discovered milk coffee and a little place I like to call Himalayan Java. It is a very westernized coffee shop that is completely open to the outside so when we were reading there they other day a little bird just flew in and hung out at a table next to us, ordered an expresso and then flew away.
8. The time warp of KTM has gotten us once again. The streets in NO WAY follow a straight pattern. Combine that with no streets signs and you get follow that roundabout to the 3rd right and you'll see a tree-the only tree-and a red sign. Follow that.
7. Never have you ever lived until you've ridden in a KTM bus. What equals a 15 passenger van in the US housed 31, yes 31, people weaving through the streets.
6. Never have you ever lived until you've ridden in a KTM tuk tuk. 3-wheeled bus-ish thing that holds 8 comfortably so obviously we put 18 people in there.
5. The rain has let up the past few days and that means we can see the mountains and see the city from a whole new view.
4. We passed like 4 cows and 2 bulls on the street today. NoBigDeal.
3. John, the director of Tiny Hands International, had us over for a big dinner last night. Food was amazing and we ended up playing games all night. So fun and had some quality group bonding.
2. We went to the Living Children's Home several days ago which led us out of the city and into a phenomenally beautiful village where you could see the mountains, rice fields, and there was no rain. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. The kids were amazing and once again show us the amount of love, faith and hope that can come from even the most dire of situations.
1. It is astounding to me the amount of conversations our group has about 1. faith 2. moral issues 3. ethical issues 4. backgrounds 5. faith upbringings….and the list goes on. Sarah and I were discussing it the other day, and we both concurred that it makes sense. We are all driven here for a purpose so it makes it easy to engage in meaningful conversation, oh ya know, four days after meeting people. It's actually a really beautiful thing.

That's it for now-Happy 4th back in the States!
